[The fact that Akira's eyes are freely traveling and noticing things that are -off- is making him squirm a bit. And when Akira sits up, he somehow manages to keep his own poker face in place to match him. Seriously, where is the shy kouhai he ran into at the flower shop? Where's the stuttering and everything?
Not that he minds this confident Akira. But confident Akira is... dangerous. For Yu. Becuase he turns irresistible and he just wants to pin him back down on the bed and turn his lips red from kisses and leave hickeys all over his neck.
He rests his hands on Akira's shoulders, tilting his head at him his 'suggestion'.]
Hmmm... but making out won't cool us off. [Not even if they were making out under the cold shower.]
Are you sure you want to cool off? Because it doesn't sound like you do. [Now it's Yu who's smirking a bit.]
[To be honest, Akira is generally in one of two modes: scheming, or planning to steal stuff (which goes hand in hand with the scheming part). That's not to say that he wasn't getting more and more cocky as their missions went on, for sure, Ryuji whispering in his ear how amazing they all were and how much good they were doing for Tokyo definitely inflated his ego, just a bit. And as he looks at Yu, whose hands are draped around him, it's hard not to let his imagination run wild. The veil and the pretenses were finally lifted; he didn't have to come up with good reasons to see Yu, he could stop by and kiss him, visit him, hold his boyfriend when he wanted to. That sort of power and knowledge is probably the scarier part, because Akira doesn't have nearly as much self control as he ever thought he did.
Yu's smirk, though, is another wild card that he didn't expect to see in his hand. That teasing, unrelenting, beautiful face in front of him, just whispering into his ear to keep going- it has him wrapped up in it. He doesn't have to imagine what Yu smells like when he's this close; he doesn't need to hold the pillow to his face to realize it. He's there. He's there and Akira is just... so happy, for once.
Reaching up, he goes for his glasses, taking them off and leaning forward a bit to rest them on the top of Yu's head playfully, the arms being supported by his ears.]
[If Yu can rock something, it's glasses- either wearing them properly or on top of his head. It's just his thing. It makes him smile though and appreciate the sight that got unveiled in front of him. Akira's eyes- constantly hidden behind the glint of his glasses and his bangs. Now the glasses were out of the way and he uses his hands to push the bangs to the side. Akira's eyes are really striking- a true shame he keeps them hidden like that.]
Mmm... [Yu hums softly, tips of his fingers now trailing Akira's cheek and line of his jaw,] You already got me. I told you that. [He smiles and kisses his lips shortly.
He lets go of him and reaches for the glasses and puts them on properly. Pushing them up with his fingers, he grins-] How do I look?
[Look. They're part of his aesthetic. It's fashion. He thinks he looks 100x better with them on, and maybe before coming to Tokyo, he never used to wear them, but he wanted a life change, and what better way to bring that about other than embracing the true inner nerd? Then Yu puts them on properly, and holy shit- he pulls it off a thousand times better than he does, and it has him looking at him like he's practically a new man.]
Hey. Where'd my boyfriend go? Who's this stranger in my lap?
[Smiling, he doesn't give Yu a proper chance to react, going in for another kiss. He's gorgeous- with or without fashion accessories, and although this is a practically a new person in front of him, reborn from the ashes of couture, he isn't fooled for a second.]
You look great. You went from bookworm to sexy librarian.
[Yu can't remember last time he was in this good of a mood. He's smiling from ear to ear, sharing kisses with Akira and enjoying his warmth. It's just pure bliss... and he didn't experience that in a long while. He kisses back eagerly, chasing after his lips because he can.]
You know nothing, Akira-kun, of the Phantom Detective from Inaba.
[With a small laugh, he takes the glasses off and puts them on top of Akira's head. Then he sits up on his knees and reaches for the shelf that's above his bed. He retrieves a small box for glasses and pulls out his own. The pair he used in the TV world back in Inaba.]
I wore these back in Inaba. [A sentimental look settled on his face.] We all did. Used them when we enter the TV to see through the fog on the other side. Eventually, they stopped helping out from how thick fog got. [He traces a finger over the crack on the glass.]
And in the end, they ended up breaking in a fight with Izanami. [He didn't say "mine" because the fight was not his. It was "theirs". If they weren't there, Izanami would've swallowed him whole.]
[Akira likes a good challenge, after all. Thief and detective, embroiled into an eternal struggle for the truth. Or something like that. He tilts his head inquisitively when Yu starts to move to gather up the contents of a box from the shelf. He's probably been spending way too much time with Morgana after all- even his posturing comes off a little cat-like at times.
But he listens, intently, to what Yu has to say. Part of this relationship is still him being mentored by someone who's been through it all already, and a little bit of extra knowledge around the paranormal might save him from getting gashed on the chest again. He's quiet, more pensive, less forward with his advancements on the other, because he knows there's a heaviness behind the words that he's using.]
Sometimes you need a little help to see things clearly.
[A gesturing smile meets Yu. There was a contrast in attire between their shadow worlds: glasses helped dispel confusion about the truth of the world around them, where on the other hand, masks help conceal those intentions from the corruption all around them. So different in concept, but so incredibly similar in practice and application. Anyone with the power to make choices in the shadow world has the ability to do good or bad with what they're given. A tool is just a tool, but a tool in the wrong hands becomes a weapon.]
Well... good thing you don't wear glasses all the time. It'd be awkward kissing if we both did.
...it doesn't sound as dangerous as Phantom Thief, huh?
[Yu laughs a bit. That really does sound a bit lame, he has to admit. Besides, Yu barely did detective work back in Inaba. It was mostly Naoto's, Yosuke's and Yukiko's doing. He just pitched in with some ideas here and there. So the 'investigation team' still fits the best. When they are all together.]
A little? It was a tremendous help. [He puts the broken glasses on. They are a bit crooked but still fit good. They bring a wave of nostalgia over him.]
Without them, the World would've probably be swallowed by fog. And then I'd never meet you. [He smiles widely] So I'm really glad. [He'll never repair the glasses but he vowed to keep them as a reminder of the dangers that are still lurking. That will always be lurking- Akira's living proof of that. It seems that whatever is out there really enjoys in pulling people into games like this.
And Yu will always lend a hand to those people.]
Hmm, we can try. [He pulls down Akira's glasses and leans in to kiss him. Sure enough, their glasses hit, and it's awkward and funny at the same time and Yu can't stop himself from laughing.]
[Wow. That is about the nerdiest thing he has ever done in his entire life- yet you wouldn't know it from the shit eating grin on his face, or the way that, when Yu pulls back from the kiss as he starts laughing, that he's reaching up and poking him on the bridge of his glasses. A side smile creeps up to match Yu's.]
Maybe you should be worried less about never having met me and more about wearing those and never being able to see me properly.
[Because really, those glasses are about one step away from being held up by duct tape. Even if they are a little charming on Yu.]
Take them off, there's only room for one of us glasses wielders in this relationship.
[Yu's laughter dies down and he takes off the glasses. It's been months since he last touched them. They really are falling apart, huh? He picks up the box from the bed and returns them in carefully and puts it back on the shelf. To not get in the way of their rolling on the bed.]
Your glasses make you look all mysterious, [Yu says as he settles back down on the bed. If it wasn't for that nasty rumor about his criminal record, Akira would probably be incredibly popular at Shujin.
...Yu's cheeks get subtly red again-] Are... you staying the night?
[Mysterious? Please, he just wants to squeak by quietly without getting chalk thrown at his head every day (although he was getting closer to developing a sixth sense to when it was coming). He shakes his head in a little bit of disagreement- he was doing his best to not stand out at school.
Then Yu drops a bombshell straight on top of Akira's head, and he finds himself completely unable of thinking of how to respond in this situation. If he jumps at it immediately and says yes, would he look desperate? If he said no, would Yu be hesitant to ask again in the future? Either one of those two options seem less than favorable, so he tries not to sway it in either direction. Aloofness is like cologne on Akira.]
[Yu smiles and runs fingers through Akira's hair, marveling the soft locks and how they feel. He just can't help himself- it's there and as if asking to be played with. It's also a great distraction and a way to keep his cheeks in check and prevent them from going even redder.]
I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want you to. [He knows he dropped it out of nowhere but... he doesn't really want Akira to leave. Yet. Or in the next hour. Or two. Or whole night.
Is he being too pushy?]
Ah but Morgana might worry. So it's okay if you can't. [He doesn't want to get Akira in trouble.]
[It's not pushy at all. Actually, the thought of staying here for the night with Yu is pretty preferable to spending the night in the attic, but he does have some worries about Morgana. He's never been alone for a full night without him yet. What if he gets lonely? He had made sure there was food and water available, but... is that enough?]
Alright. I'll stay. Someone has to make sure these windows are sealed tight at night. Anyone could waltz in here and trespass. You should get that looked at.
[He pulls out his phone, looking down at the screen. The nav app is still there, all-knowing, waiting for his next entry into the Metaverse. This is a different purpose though; he pulls up the SNS app and shoots a text to Ryuji.
I need a favor.
Just this one time, would you mind heading over to Leblanc and staying there for the night? I have to take care of something and I'm worried about Morgana.
He gets a string of responses from Ryuji, all complaints, but in the end, he agrees to it.]
Morgana will be alright. Do that thing to my hair again...
[Akira must be half cat. Yu's fingers in his hair is just about the most calming thing he could ever ask for. This was going to be a good night.]
[Yu felt his heart skip a beat. He waits for several moments while Akira's texting (probably someone to check on Morgana), before tackling him back on the bed. Stealing the kisses in the process.]
I'm glad to have an expert look after me then, [Yu grins at him. There are so many things he wants to do now- aside from kissing Akira the whole evening. They still have dinner to eat, then maybe watch movies on the couch with cups of hot chocolate, then... share a blanket on the same bad as they sleep.
He climbs off of Akira and finally gets off the bed completely.]
Let's eat that dinner. [Yu offers Akira his hand to pull him up off the bed. After they eat, they can kiss and cuddle all they want. Yu doesn't want to be a bad host.]
[Whoa! He wasn't expecting to be tackled into position, but it's... nice. Is this a little bit of possessiveness already coming from Yu?]
Heh... so excited. Maybe we'll have to sleep in different beds tonight.
[Not that it's actually going to go down like that, because he's already trying to figure out if he should be the big spoon or the little spoon when they're cuddling and getting ready for bed. And then there's the matter of being surrounded in things that smell like Yu, and he wonders if Morgana ever feels the same way about being curled up in his own bed. Akira's never slept with anyone human before.
And before he knows it, Yu is already up and away from him. Drats. He was just about to tease him about how he should his bed closer to the window so certain experts could just slide in here for any sort of nighttime rendezvous----- which is exactly why he needs to put better locks on things.
Mostly so Akira can practice lockpicking.]
Yeah? [He takes his hand and stands up.
Ah.
Right. Food.]
I can always count on you to keep me well fed. Thank you, darling. [He says it almost sarcastically, like it's not cool to call your boyfriend "darling," even though he totally meant it.]
I do have a spare futon, [Yu says hesitantly, not really wanting to actually bring out the said futon. He might sneak under Akira's blankets during the night and he's not good at the stealth things.
When they make their way to the kitchen, Yu immediately goes for the piles of food he prepared earlier. They are not completely cold, thankfully, so Yu doesn't have to bother to warm the food up. He pulls out the plates and utensils-]
It's not a problem, honey, [Yu says with a teasing smile and hands him over the plates.] Can you set these up for me?
[Not a chance in hell that Akira is going to skeep on a futon when a) he already has that opportunity every night in Leblanc, b) there's a perfectly warm, comfortable bed giving him an appetite for its soft sheets, and c) uhm.... Yu? Why would he pass up the possibility of burrowing his head right into his shoulder for the entire night, if not even just for the sole chance to make Yu's arm fall deathly asleep and he has to deal with it being rubbery in the morning.]
Wow, we've already moved onto marriage.
[He takes the plates anyway, mocking at how freaking domesticated this is, even though they've only been together what- 15 minutes now? He's already longing for the nightlife again (well, not really, but it seems better than putting plates out and making sure the silverware is in perfect alignment with itself and whatnot).
Either way, he obediently complies with the request.]
... Does the fork go on the left, or the right, sweetie?
[He's looking forward to cuddling Akira as well. There's no one else he'd rather share the bed with. Briefly, he wonders if he should freak Yosuke out with 'bro I have a thief in my bed' or something similar.
He puts bowls with food on the table where Akira placed the plates, grinning from ear to ear. Did this turn into some kind of competition of who will come up with cheesiest nicknames? Because Yu's all up for that.]
It doesn't matter, sugarplum, you'll use it anyway.
[If a certain Yosuke were to get that type of text, he'd be on the next train in the morning to Tokyo, trying to smuggle kunai in his pockets, okay? That's probably not the type of thing he wants to walk in in anyway- Yu and Akira cuddling and dead asleep in Yu's bed.
But god... that petname. That has to be the worst he's ever heard. Does anyone actually even use 'sugarplum' these days? He pictures a granny talking to him like that... and smirks.]
Are you calling me a fairy now?
[Looking down at the plates, he's organizing, and reorganizing. Okay, but seriously, is the spoon on the left or the right? He picks it up, looking at it. Oh well. It doesn't really matter. He turns to Yu, spoon still in hand, suggestive in a way.
[He'd end up trying to bail Yosuke out of the jail. Only this time he'd be alone and there would be no Dojima to fix stuff.
Yu can be pretty horrible when it comes to teasing and he has zero shame once he starts. Akira is going to learn it the hard way- by being called sweet names that no one, not even grandmothers, uses anymore.
Sitting down next to him, Yu leans on the table, his eyebrow raised-]
Spoon feeding me? How romantic.
[The other spooning will definitively happen, Akira doesn't even have to ask. But this- this is a golden opportunity. And Yu's waiting patiently with not-so-hidden excitement on his face.]
[Wow, ok. So this is what Yu's into. Akira's learning stuff every day about his new boyfriend. He can be the little baby bird, no problem. He turns the spoon horizontal and gently glides it through the air, landing right as his nose, missing his mouth entirely.]
Oh. Sorry. I never did finish my pilot license classes.
[Akira, sitting there next to Yu, just smirks. Given the opportunity to be insanely cute or bitterly sassy, 9 times out of 10, he's going with the route that ends up making Yu shake his head.
He picks up the napkin, leaning over to gently wipe away at his nose.]
Darling, you have a little smudge on your face. Let me take care of that.
[When Akira "accidentally" misses giving him food with a spoon, Yu can't hold it back anymore and bursts out into chuckles. He lets his boyfriend clean him up, but he can't hold back the laughs.]
Thank you, darling, you're so kind.
[And with Akira being so darn cute with all this act, Yu just has to smooch him. Shortly, of course. They can't get too distracted at the table.]
[The sound of that laughter really guts Akira from the inside. It's enough to make him blush, at least momentarily, which is.... probably the tenth time tonight. He's done more of this in the past month than he has in his entire life.
Jokingly, he pushes Yu away from that kiss.]
You're going to get food all over my face.
[He fake cleans himself up with the same napkin, thanking god that it provides a barrier against the dumb smiling that he's wearing right now, which is far, far less fashionable than this persona mask.]
What type of boyfriend would I be if I didn't spoon feed his hot arm candy, who has two perfectly working arms and hands?
[The hand that's pushing him away gets kissed instead. Yu doesn't mind. And while persona mask makes Akira look all cool and suave, Yu actually prefers that smile on his face. Hopefully, he's one of the reasons for that smile.]
I'm hot, hmm? Thank you~
[He picks one of the pieces of the food and offers them to Akira. Nicely.]
[So that's the part that Yu took away from all of this? A sly comment about his physical features--- not that he's wrong in any way, shape, or form. Yu really is breathtaking by his own regards, and Akira doesn't have it in him to argue back, or say something cool and casual. It's a little too far for casual at this point, anyway.]
Mmn? I'm sure you performed spectacularly.
[Akira leans forward and opens his mouth to take a bite of the offered food, and of course, it's damn near perfect even if it's cold from the lack of attentiveness either of them could afford their dinner in forgoing its warmth for... other types of warmth. Like kissing.
God, he could eat Yu's cooking all the time. He probably has a dumb, enchanted smile on his face when he's chewing, because it's so obvious.]
This is exactly the right type of flavor profile. I'm jealous... I can't mesh anything together without a recipe.
[Yu was cooking for Akira and every bit of food he prepared was with him in his mind. To get a compliment that it was good was better than top grades in school he receives. He has a small smile of his own, watching Akira chew, and can't help but admire just how beautifully that smile settles on his face. A warm expression.
It makes Yu's heart skip several beats.]
Hmm... it's all about the practice I think. [He takes a piece for himself. It's not bad... maybe he should've used more soy sauce.]
If you want, you can cook next time with me. [There's a small feeling that the cooking will turn into 'flour battle' at some point, but he loves the thought of it.] I can show you a trick or two.

I'm hot, hmm? Thank you~
[He picks one of the pieces of the food and offers them to Akira. Nicely.]
I'm curious if I got the spices right.
