[How did Satanael Santa know about where Souji lived? A TRY MYSTERY (tm). But he will find a mysterious box with a sword inside. At first it looks normal, if a little futuristic, but if he presses the front button the hilt fun begins. There's a scarf with a cat pattern and a note;]

Admittedly this was for the previous Souji, but think of this as a little 'welcome to the city' present from your fellow residential wildcard ;)

[Souji always has time, especially for his friends. He is curious, though, why Yosuke can't listen in, but he respects Kanji's wish and calls him when Yosuke's out.]

[He doesn’t say anything. There’s just an initial text of “Look what I found!” and then the video attachment of a pillow he found. His auburn retriever ears can’t perk up anymore as they flop down instead but they do wiggling and his matching tail is visible behind him, wagging. Half his face is pressed into the pillow but it’s clear he’s amused as he holds the pillow at the department store he’s at, waving at the camera.

The only time he’s willing to call himself a dog, cherish it partner.]

[It's the worse. It's so quiet all Ren can hear is his own thoughts swirling over and over in his mind.]

[Honestly he'd take any type of sparring that Souji would be willing to give him. Sword, Persona, the other sword...

When Souji would arrive, the smell of the curry would be nearly leaking from the apartment from how many batches Ren was making.]

[He'll probably read better into it once he sees Ren in person. And they can arrange which sword when he arrives. For now, he makes his way over, casually dressed in summer clothes.

The smell of curry is comforting- it reminds him of Japan, of home, even though neither his parents nor Dojima make curry (his parents are not really around and Dojima can't cook). He stands around in the cafe for a moment, looking around. The guy mentioned living above the establishment or...? Maybe he should send a text.]

[So, someone may have accidentally stumbled onto a network post that he didn't mean to stalk. But it was clear what Souji wanted out of it and didn't get. It had been something Yosuke had thought about bringing up with Souji anyway, but now he felt like it would have been an even better surprise.

Like, okay, sure he could have said something so Souji had some kinda say in it. But Yosuke didn't have the patience once he saw the skinny thing at the shelter on his way home the other night.

Yosuke almost announced he was home when he caught himself just in time to see that Souji was asleep on the couch. On his back and with the window open to let the ocean breeze in. Well, this might be even sweeter than he thought. He set the carrier down on the kitchen counter and quietly pulled out an orange tabby cat. She was barely a year old, skinny, with very bright golden eyes. She had actually taken a liking to Yosuke, which he was totally glad for, but now to see if she liked the resident cat whisperer too!

He carefully made his way to the couch and gently set her down right on Souji's chest. She immediately started kneading his boyfriend and he couldn't help the snicker.]

[The cat whisperer works even when he is sound asleep! ...well, not quite sound asleep, but enough to have a nice, relaxing nap. The Iris week is exhausting as hell so Souji takes every opportunity to laze around and literally rest his back and bottom.

But he kneading into his shirt he catches because the little nails from the paw get to his skin through the material. He grumbles quietly, bringing his arm up to rub at his eyes and open them, blearily looking around.]

'suke? [More eye rubbing.] Stop poking me with n...

[His voice cuts off when his eyes finally catch the orange tabby on his chest and his hand comes up to scratch it gently behind the ear.]

Hey, buddy. Where did you come from? [Scratch, scratch. Then he frowns and squints at Yosuke-] Was it wandering around our house? Is it hurt?

[She stopped kneading and leaned into his touch, purring loudly as she settled into a skinny loaf.]

She was adopted by me. The animal shelter near the sports center had a flyer out for recently found cats. She’s a little malnourished still, but she’s been recovering well. I couldn’t resist.

[He knelt down next to the couch, resting his chin in his hands and propping his elbows on his knees.]

I’m surprised you hadn’t gotten a cat sooner, to be honest, partner.

[It's an envelope sealed with a very snazzy wax seal. The importance of it is slightly marred when the melted and hardened wax was shaped in the manner of a heart. The card inside bears a stylized, cutesy drawing of Kanji and Naoto dressed up and ready to roll, but it seems Kanji is in the hikifurisode, while Naoto's dressed as the groom.

...Is anyone surprised, though? The card reads:
