CHARACTERS IN-GAME: Kise Ryouta

CHARACTER
NAME: Souji Seta
CANON: Persona 4
CANON POINT: Souji's second trip to Inaba, during summer vacation
AGE: 18
BACKGROUND: It's all in the cards~

PERSONALITY:

*First impression: An exemplary person- that’s how most people perceive Souji when they first meet him. He is quiet, polite, has an aura of, perhaps, too early maturity around him, as well as a veil of mystery. His grades are perfect, he’s good at almost anything he picks up- from sports clubs to music clubs and drama tryouts. His overall calm and mysterious appearance, as well as odd ability to pick up anything and be relatively good at it, constantly makes people curious about him.

*Honesty: The single most prominent trait of Souji’s. He will always tell the truth and state the things as objectively as he can; he never minces or sugarcoats his words. Sometimes it may even sound rather mean, giving the impression that he is too objective and doesn’t really care, which is so far away from the truth. He doesn’t lie to achieve the goals he’s set in his mind, regardless of how good or bad telling the truth is. It is his first principle and it is always leading him. Because of that dedication to it, he is able to solve the mysterious murders that happened in Inaba and apprehend the true criminal by managing to see through layers of lies.

*Caring and empathetic: Despite sounding harsh with his ‘truth bombs’, Souji really does care about the others. He doesn’t want them to lie to themselves; always trying to help them improve and help them overcome the obstacles they are facing, willing to listen. Souji never tells the others what they should do or not, but it's in his nature to state the facts as they are. He doesn’t have a hateful nature regardless of how rude people are towards him- managing to befriend Naoki who hated him straight from the get-go is more than proof of it.

*Protective: Caring expands into protectiveness. He doesn’t want anyone to be hurt, least of his friends. What better proof for that is that he jumps straight into the TV, regardless of how good he knows the other person. He goes in repeatedly into the Shadow World to save people he both knows and doesn’t know, and is willing to fight to protect them until the last drop; his inner altruistic nature and moral compass compel him to help out anyone that is in danger.

*Intelligent and calm: Souji has a very sharp and perceptive mind. He is able to remain calm and collected even through the toughest situations when everything seems to be working against him. He looks at the situation from every aspect and point, and always looks for a solution that will benefit everyone included. His ability to think coolly, rationally, and not rush into things, is why the others see him as the leader of the group. He decides on when they are going to visit the TV world, he plans all the battle strategies and does his best to utilize everyone’s abilities to maximum potential.

*Fear of abandonment: His shadow self. Breaking bonds and losing contact with his friends he made is his number one fear and it shows up in the form of his shadow. He faces it later down the line, but it was always there, nagging in the back of his mind. He manages to conquer it and accept that this is something he will always feel. He learns that even when people are separated by the distance they will always be connected by the shared experiences and times they spent together; a connection that is not broken so easily.

*Unpredictable: Souji’s reactions to social situations can be a bit unpredictable. In-game, this is the part that is left for the player to decide- his responses could vary from eccentric and funny to downright cold or unresponsive whatsoever, which sometimes makes it difficult for the others to read his intentions. Some of the responses can drag out shocking reactions, some will think he is being funny but overall- it’s just Souji being his unpredictable-self.

POWERS/ABILITIES: The Wild Card

To put it short, Souji has the ability to summon personas of all the arcana and use the existing personas to fuse new ones. The Wild Card, in Persona 4 series, is associated with the 'Fool' arcana, a "0" that can easily change.
For the game purposes, I will be limiting Souji's personas down to 3 and they will be listed in his inventory.

He also uses a sword to attack the shadows in the TV world, but it is not described well to what extent his swordsmanship abilities are.

INVENTORY:
-Bracelet Nanako made him
-Mysterious bandage
-6 personas:
*Izanagi-no-Okami (Souji is from his true end so he poseses fully developed Izanagi)
*Pyro Jack (nod to his BFF)
*Norn (The design is gorgeous)
*Sraosha
*Trumpeter
*Helel
- Sword of Totsuka
